First and foremost, Weddings are about life.

Love, laughter, joy and tears. Friends and family, some you see every day, some not for years. Intimate, tender moments and your first dance. Life is a celebration and so is your Wedding.

That’s exactly what I capture.

Midlands, Staffordshire and Worcestershire Wedding Photography

A wedding photographer is one of the most important roles in a wedding, capturing your story to create beautiful images which you can look back at time and time again. I am very lucky to be able to do something I love for a living, and strive to capture the story of your day perfectly.

So why choose me? I believe you should choose your wedding photographer carefully. I want you to choose me because you like my style and approach - I really care about the photos I take, and there’s nothing I want more than to make others happy with my photography. For me a wedding commission is one of the most responsible things you can take on as a photographer, so I put a great deal of time and effort into getting it right.

Aside from the photos, it’s important that you like your wedding photographer. That's why I always like to meet my couples first, ideally in person, or if not via Skype, so we can discuss your plans and get to know each other a little better; this way you will feel more comfortable with me on your big day, and the photography will be one less thing to worry about! My goal is for you to feel as though a friend is photographing your wedding.

How I work on your wedding day

On the wedding day itself, I don't impose myself, after all it's your wedding and not my photoshoot! I am respectful to both you and your guests as I document the story of your wedding day. I like to make things as simple as possible for you, and though I will take you away from your guests for some short periods for those beautiful wedding portraits, I want you to make the most of your day with friends and family.

I believe the best wedding photography is candid, that the best wedding photography is when you’re being yourself, when you forget there’s even a photographer there. I will document the day as it unfolds elegantly, but won’t ask you to do any cheesy poses or anything you feel uncomfortable with.

Of course, I will get those all important group photos of friends and family, but I won't spend hours taking them, as your guests are there for you and to watch you get married, they’re not there for a photoshoot. We will discuss the time for taking these photos before the day, so that you're happy with my approach and to avoid detracting from anyone’s enjoyment of your wedding. Ultimately, my goal is to capture your day in a relaxed, natural and enjoyable way.

A little about my editing style

I put a lot of effort into my post production to make sure that each photo I deliver to you is just right. I will review each image, colour correcting them as I go and choosing what look works best, be it colour or black or white for some or a more stylised look for another. They will all be post-produced to give a consistent 'feel' from your day though - I believe they should fit together as a collection to tell a story.

Where do I work?

I am based on the border between Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands but regularly travel throughout the UK and also abroad for weddings - most recently to Sorrento in Italy. So whether you’re planning a wedding at home or aboard, if you feel I could be the right photographer for you, then please get in touch via my contact page here.

Just wanted to say we absolutely loved your shots of the wedding. They are already the background and screensavers on our phones.

Thanks for all your help on the day.
